Visual Management has long been a key part of agile and lean. This talk will explore real world examples of visual management systems and discuss the hidden power of visualization and transparency in an enterprise setting. We will explore examples of team, portfolio and enterprise management walls to understand how the visualizations create context for real decision making. Participants will tour and design/prototype an improvement for the example boards. Many organizations talk about driving change through transparency and an empowered, informed workforce. A picture can say a thousand words, we will highlight examples of enterprises that have stopped telling and started showing. An agile team is but a piece of a larger value stream. By embedding the team’s visual management system in the context of the Portfolio and Enterprise Wall, the team has the context of what is coming, how it ties to corporate goals and the impact of the working software delivered.
