Virtual Classes

We anticipate holding all 2020 classes live online.  We will continue to update our schedule with additional live online and in person options in 2021.

Scrum Alliance and Scaled Agile are allowing temporary delivery of virtual courses, and joining these courses online will allow you to achieve take exams (if applicable) and earn certification.

Can the registration be cancelled/refunded if needed? I'm concerned with the Coronavirus impact. 

We understand your concern and the uncertain nature of this time.

We have adopted a more lenient cancellation policy, and will refund your registration in full if you cancel by one week prior to the course.  

Within one week, we do charge a $25 fee if you need to change course dates or cancel your registration. This change fee goes toward unrecoverable administrative costs.


  1. We reserve the right to cancel a class at any time based on insufficient enrollment, lack of instructor availability or other contingency. Class cancellation notice will be given via email, and a full refund will be given.  Every effort will be made to avoid cancellations.
  2. If you cannot attend a class you registered for, you can contact us and send a replacement at no additional charge. If you need to cancel, the following policies apply:
  • If we receive more than one week’s notice, you can cancel and receive a full refund or transfer to another class, at no additional charge.
  • For virtual classes: If we receive less than one week’s notice, you can transfer to another class or cancel for an additional $25.
  • For in person classes: If we receive less than one week’s notice, you can transfer to another class or cancel for an additional $250.


Discounts are taken off the standard registration price and cannot be combined.

We offer a 35% off training discount to those who are unemployed and facing hardship. If you are currently unemployed, please email info@lithespeed.com with your name, the training you are interested in, and one supporting document that helps to explain your situation. Please note there are a limited number of these discounts available, and applying for a discount does not guarantee approval.

LitheSpeed also grants discounts for early registration and groups of three or more.

Only one discount will be granted per person. You may be asked for additional information and or supporting documentation in order to obtain any discount. Discounts are granted at the sole discretion of LitheSpeed on a per course basis and can be denied for any reason.

Illness Policy

For in person/onsite courses: As our training creates a space for agilists to share and learn together in an enclosed training space, we are taking measures to avoid spreading illness.  If you feel sick or have come in contact with someone sick, we would be glad to transfer you to another course date free of charge.  

Our operations team and trainers are taking the following steps to maintain a healthy environment:
Continuous cleaning and sanitizing of group training spaces
Hand washing supplies and sanitizer available at all times in classes
Offering flexible transfer options to alternate class dates for those who are ill or have come in contact with someone who has been ill (See our Illness policy below)
Posting notice of health reminders in all classes
Providing additional virtual training options when possible

Because the health and safety of our trainers, trainees and staff are of paramount importance, LitheSpeed has adopted the following policies:
Please do not attend a LitheSpeed training program if you exhibit any flu-like symptoms.
Please do not attend a LitheSpeed training program if, within the 15 day period prior to your class, you have reason to believe that someone you had contact with were themselves in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19.
Please do not attend a LitheSpeed training program if, within the 15 day period prior to your class, you had contact (were in the same room) with any person exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
If you become unwell during any LitheSpeed training session, please immediately leave the training session and thereafter keep LitheSpeed informed about your condition.
Because of the risk involved, LitheSpeed reserves the right to send anyone home who exhibits one or more flu-like symptoms. If you have a non-communicable condition that exhibits flu-like symptoms please provide LitheSpeed with prior notice of this preexisting condition (including reasonable documentation) so that we can provide an assurance to other students/trainers that we are maintaining a safe training environment.

Scrum Alliance Privacy Policy

If you are taking a Scrum Alliance certification class with us, we share your name and email address with the Scrum Alliance so they can process your exam (if applicable) and certification. Please review the Scrum Alliance privacy policy here.

Refunds and Guarantees of Satisfaction

We aim for happy customers.  As such, we will refund your full course fee, or allow you to retake the course at no additional fee, under the following conditions:

  • You make us aware of your dissatisfaction during the class period, so that we have an opportunity to address your concerns
  • You have not been certified and registered, for classes where certification applies


As a training attendee, we add your contact information to our newsletter distribution list to provide you with event and promotions updates. We do not share your information with any third party other than the certifying body of your certification class if applicable.

Should you want to remove yourself from any distribution list, you may do so at anytime by clicking unsubscribe on the bottom of a LitheSpeed email. You may also contact us at info@lithespeed.com or +1(703)745-9125 at any time to be removed from LitheSpeed mailing lists.

Class Videotaping and Photography

From time to time we will be videotaping segments from our training classes to post to our blog or website. If you have any questions or concerns about your privacy, please let us know. Similarly, we’ll inform you when we plan to take photos during the training or consulting sessions. If you do not want a photo with you in it to be used for uses such as for our marketing materials and website, please inform the instructor.

Inclement Weather

In case of inclement weather, LitheSpeed follows the Federal Government guidelines for cancellation. Check the OPM site here for the current status. If the Federal Government is closed, all scheduled training for the day will be cancelled and all registered students will be rescheduled to the next training session. We do not follow the OPM 2-hour delay. When the Federal Government announces a 2-hour inclement weather delay, our class will still start on time. The class will only be cancelled for the day if the government is officially closed.


How do I get a group discount?

Email training@lithespeed.com to request a group discount.

Group discount amounts are off standard registration pricing. (20% for 3-4, 25% for 5-6, 30% for 7-9, 35% for 10+) – For multiple attendees from one organization

Discounts are granted at the sole discretion of LitheSpeed on a per course basis and can be denied for any reason.

**Training discounts which have been won can only be applied to the standard base price for any class.

**The terms, conditions and pricing specified in this section are for training sessions offered by LitheSpeed in the United States. We offer also sessions with partners, including Xebia in Amsterdam and Softkey in South Florida. Pricing and discount rules vary for these partner events. When you choose a partner event you will be transferred to their site where more information is available.

Can I use multiple discounts for my registration?

Unfortunately, we do not stack discounts. You may use a maximum of ONE discount per registration. For example, if you register as an Earlybird, you will not receive additional discounts.

How do I register multiple people and receive a discount?

Is there a separate exam to get the certification?

For the Certified Scrum Master and Leading SAFe classes, there is. After the class, you will have a set window to take the exam: an online multiple choice exam that can be taken from anywhere.

Is there an additional fee for the exams?

No, the cost of the exam is included in our course fee for the following classes: Certified ScrumMaster and Leading SAFe. Any retake exam fees will not be covered by LitheSpeed.

How does the Certified Scrum Master exam work?

The material provided in class will be what you need to do the exam, and additional resources will also be made available to you. After completing your CSM course, you’ll receive an email from the Scrum Alliance that includes a link to the Scrum Alliance website and instructions for creating your profile, which will enable you to do the self-evaluation. How can I print out my certificate from the Certified Scrum Master Training course I’ve taken?

You need to login to your Scrum Alliance account, where you can print the certificate from your dashboard.

  1. Upon login into your Scrum Alliance account, click on the Dashboard link displayed on the
    top right of the page.
  2. Under Actions click on “Print Certificate”.
  3. Click on which certificate you would like to print out.

How do I get a receipt?

Upon registration to one of our classes, you will receive a confirmation email from RegOnline. You can obtain a receipt by following the below instructions:

  1. Click on the link labeled “Click Here” displayed on the top of your confirmation email. This will open your detailed registration record.
  2. Scroll down on your registration record page and under Documents you will find a link to
    your receipt.

How do I claim PDUs for the class?

How do I claim SEUs?

Please see the information listed on Scrum Alliance.

Can I retake the tests if I score poorly?

The CSM test has a passing score of 24 out of 35 questions. You will have two attempts within 90
days after you receive your welcome email to pass the test. After two attempts or 90 days, you will be charged $25 for each additional attempt. Making the first attempt at the exam after the 90 day window will be considered an additional attempt and will incur a $25 fee (not covered by LitheSpeed). Click here to visit Scrum Alliance FAQs

If you do not pass the Leading SAFe exam retakes are $50 and can be taken 45 days or more after the previous exam.

What is LitheSpeed’s inclement weather policy?

In case of inclement weather, LitheSpeed follows the Federal Government guidelines. If the Federal Government is closed, all scheduled training for the day will be cancelled and all registered students will be rescheduled to the next training session – please visit lithespeed.com for all upcoming Herndon classes and contact us to make this transfer. When conditions require closings or delays, up to date information can be found at the following radio and TV stations:

What is LitheSpeed’s policy if the company itself cancels training?

If a class is cancelled due to Instructor emergencies or low enrollment, those registered for the class will receive a full refund for the class fee. LitheSpeed is not responsible for reimbursing travel costs or other fees.
