Okay, this might be another Ground Hog day type of post, but I wanted to pull together a few of my previous thoughts on the subject, and also indicate another one from the Scrum Alliance’s site:

  1. From an earlier posting, I believe the role of an agile manager is to lead project teams in creating and responding to change.
  2. From my post on leadership versus management: leadership and management are both equally important. Without management, leadership falls victim to complexity. Without leadership, management loses its soul.
  3. From an excellent article by Lyssa Adkins and Michael Spayd, the manager’s role in Agile involves managing teams, managing investments and managing the organization’s environment.
