Okay, this might be another Ground Hog day type of post, but I wanted to pull together a few of my previous thoughts on the subject, and also indicate another one from the Scrum Alliance’s site:
- From an earlier posting, I believe the role of an agile manager is to lead project teams in creating and responding to change.
- From my post on leadership versus management: leadership and management are both equally important. Without management, leadership falls victim to complexity. Without leadership, management loses its soul.
- From an excellent article by Lyssa Adkins and Michael Spayd, the manager’s role in Agile involves managing teams, managing investments and managing the organization’s environment.
