I’m putting together an issue of the Cutter IT Journal as guest editor – the topic is Using Lean Portfolio Management to Scale Agile Methods.

Over the past several years, as Agile initiatives have succeeded and knowledge on adopting Agile has grown, we have learned that Agile practices don’t translate very well “as-is” to program and portfolio management. We have also learned that the Lean principles behind Agile practices do. I’ve blogged previously about the Lean-Agile PMO. Others in the industry, including Jeff Patton have also been applying Lean Thinking to Agile programs.
