A grass-roots movement of Agile enthusiasts among Project Management Institute (PMI) members is now being officially recognized by the PMI. Known by different names (PMI Agile SIG, etc), the PMI Agile Community, as it is now named is shooting for a launch in 2009 Q2. Led by Jesse Fewell, this group is communicating mainly on our Yahoo! discussion forum.
An initial version of a business plan has been completed, and the following steps are planned:
- Finalize steering committee
- Finalize Business plan
- Get IT infrastructure up and running
- Launch in Q2 2009 to membershi
