Policies
Most students participating in LitheSpeed training have at least one year of professional experience in their industry. While the programs of study are applicable to all industries, most students have a background in software development, testing, business analysis, product or project management, or a business field. If you do not have one year of professional experience and would like to discuss whether LitheSpeed training is right for you, please contact us at training@lithespeed.com.
Students may transfer training from their original registration up to 2 times. If a class is cancelled by LitheSpeed, we will transfer you into another class at no penalty to the student.
After 2 transfers from the student, LitheSpeed is entitled to the full course fee and will not issue a refund.
LitheSpeed courses include a $100 nonrefundable registration fee. If you cancel your registration anytime prior to the course start, you will receive a full refund minus this $100 fee.
Three-Day Cancellation: An applicant who provides written notice of cancellation within three (3) business day, excluding weekends and holidays, of executing the enrollment agreement is entitled to a refund of all monies paid, excluding a $100 non-refundable registration fee.
Other Cancellations: Following the cancellation period, a student applicant may cancel his enrollment agreement, by written notice, at any time prior to the first class day of the session for which the application was made. An application requesting cancellation more than three (3) days after executing the enrollment agreement and making an initial payment, but prior to the first day of class is entitled to a refund of all monies paid, less a maximum tuition fee of 15% of the stated cost of the course or $100, whichever is less.
All fees and payments with the exception of the non-refundable registration fee of $100 shall be refunded if the student is not admitted, does not enroll in the school, does not begin the program or course, withdraws prior to the start of the program, or is dismissed prior to the start of the program.
Tuition refunds after the program begins will be determined as follows:
Proportion of Total Program Taught by Withdrawal Date – – – – Tuition Refund
Less than 25% – – – – 75% of program cost
25% up to but less than 50% – – – – 50% of program cost
50% up to but less than 75% – – – – 25% of program cost
75% or more – – – – No Refund
We reserve the right to cancel a class at any time based on insufficient enrollment, lack of instructor availability or other contingency. Class cancellation notice will be given via email, and students will be given an option to attend a different training course or receive a full refund. Every effort will be made to avoid cancellations.
LitheSpeed does not offer financial aid. Loans and scholarships are not available.

From time to time we will be recording segments from our training classes to post to our blog or website. If you have any questions or concerns about your privacy, please let us know. Similarly, we’ll inform you when we plan to take photos during the training or consulting sessions. If you do not want a photo with you in it to be used for uses such as for our marketing materials and website, please inform the instructor.
For in person/onsite courses: As our training creates a space for agilists to share and learn together in an enclosed training space, we are taking measures to avoid spreading illness. If you feel sick or have come in contact with someone sick, we would be glad to transfer you to another course date free of charge.
Our operations team and trainers are taking the following steps to maintain a healthy environment:
Continuous cleaning and sanitizing of group training spaces
Hand washing supplies and sanitizer available at all times in classes
Offering flexible transfer options to alternate class dates for those who are ill or have come in contact with someone who has been ill (See our Illness policy below)
Posting notice of health reminders in all classes
Providing additional virtual training options when possible
Because the health and safety of our trainers, trainees and staff are of paramount importance, LitheSpeed has adopted the following policies:
Please do not attend a LitheSpeed training program if you exhibit any flu-like symptoms.
Please do not attend a LitheSpeed training program if, within the 15 day period prior to your class, you have reason to believe that someone you had contact with were themselves in contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19.
Please do not attend a LitheSpeed training program if, within the 15 day period prior to your class, you had contact (were in the same room) with any person exhibiting flu-like symptoms.
If you become unwell during any LitheSpeed training session, please immediately leave the training session and thereafter keep LitheSpeed informed about your condition.
Because of the risk involved, LitheSpeed reserves the right to send anyone home who exhibits one or more flu-like symptoms. If you have a non-communicable condition that exhibits flu-like symptoms please provide LitheSpeed with prior notice of this preexisting condition (including reasonable documentation) so that we can provide an assurance to other students/trainers that we are maintaining a safe training environment.
In case of inclement weather, LitheSpeed follows the Federal Government guidelines for cancellation. Check the OPM site here for the current status. If the Federal Government is closed, all scheduled training for the day will be cancelled and all registered students will be rescheduled to the next training session. We do not follow the OPM 2-hour delay. When the Federal Government announces a 2-hour inclement weather delay, our class will still start on time. The class will only be cancelled for the day if the government is officially closed.
If you are taking a Scrum Alliance certification class with us, we share your name and email address with the Scrum Alliance so they can process your exam (if applicable) and certification. Please review the Scrum Alliance privacy policy here.
LitheSpeed, LLC has established a grievance process which applies to academic and non-academic student grievances, including student complaints of unlawful discrimination or unfair treatment.
If you are a student who has a grievance, it is your responsibility to follow the procedures listed below.
Student Complaint Procedures
Contact the school directly in writing:
If the complaint regards class materials, attendance, or examination, the student must contact the instructor on or before the last day of the following session.
If this concerns an administrative matter, contact training@lithespeed.com within 10 calendar days of identifying the issue.
After receiving the complaint:
A school administrator must notify the student in writing of the condition of the appeal within 10 calendar days after receiving the initial complaint.
If the matter is not resolved to the mutual satisfaction of both parties, it may be elevated to the next level. At this point, it becomes a “grievance,” as the complaint resolution process has not engendered a mutually satisfactory end to the complaint.
Student Grievance Procedures
To file a formal grievance in writing, the student must email training@lithespeed.com with the subject line “Grievance” with full grievance details, including course name, date(s) and instructor(s) as applicable in the email body.
The LitheSpeed senior leadership team will meet within 10 calendar days to discuss the grievance and resolutions.
After the meeting, the student will be notified in writing within 10 calendar days of the team’s recommendation for resolution.
If LitheSpeed does not resolve the complaint to the student’s satisfaction, the student may contact staff at SCHEV as a last resort. SCHEV contact information is below:
