We recently launched our newly rebranded LitheSpeed website. It’s a WordPress site with a fresh, clean look, enhanced features and improved usability. However, acceptance testing of the site revealed sluggish page loads, with the site developers squarely placing the blame on our web hosting platform. We were eager to launch, but the performance of the new site was unacceptable.

Having read that WordPress works best in a rich hosting environment, we decided to quickly test our new site with a different, WordPress-optimized hosting platform. We had nothing to lose and everything to gain, so we gave it a shot. After some quick research (read: googling) we whittled down our choices to WP Engine and DreamHost.

We started our trial with WP Engine and immediately felt comfortable with the support we received from the technical team and their expertise. The site migration was painless and the end result – super-fast page loads! We had found a new fully managed hosting provider for our site and we stayed. We trusted our instincts and took a chance.

Not everything is meant to be, but everything is worth a try.
